Sealants and Fluoride Treatments

Prevent Cavities

Sealants and fluoride treatments have proven very helpful in reducing cavities for children and adults in our care.

Sealants

Sealants are thin coatings applied to tooth surfaces with pits or fissures and can reduce cavities by as much as 80%. Applying sealants is much less expensive than fillings.

Fluoride

Fluoride treatments are proven to harden enamel and make it more resistant to decay. This treatment can be helpful in these situations:

  • Poor hygiene compliance
  • Dry mouth
  • High number of cavities
  • Exposed roots
  • Poor diet
  • Weak tooth enamel
  • Tooth sensitivity
